Sunday morning saw a group of about 20 head to a Picnic @ The Groynes for church. Although the weather was a bit overcast and we had the odd spot of fine drizzle pass through a great time of fellowship and fun was had as a contingent fed the ducks while others just conversed…
This was an awesome opportunity to invite friends, family & neighbours to a non-formal church service in which we can focus on building relationships which is one of the most important aspects of church-life that we often neglect.
Everyone had such an enjoyable time sharing in a picnic lunch together and they stayed well into the early afternoon. It would appear that after todays excursion we have the makings of a team for Southern 7’s.
As we head into 2012 focussing on the mission of ‘Seeing People Find & Follow Jesus & Engage in Mission’ we will be creating plenty of fellowship opportunities where we can be intentional about building relationships with others…
