I was reading Matthew 6 as part of my Daily Bible Reading and Prayer Time and was reminded again of our worth… So this morning I’d like to offer a Word of Encouragement to all those that have concerns and doubts about tomorrow, and for those that worry about their future.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
The New International Version. 2011 (Mt 6:26). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan
God is more interested in us than we might realise, and throughout history He has stepped in and influenced people along the way to make a lasting difference in this world, so that things are made easier for us in this day and age. However, we tend to not recognise these interjections for what they are and after a time even forget that those that had these ground-breaking ideas praised God for having them in the first place.
I wonder if we would be better served to not only recognise those in the past that have done amazing things but also to recognise the source of their inspiration. God is good and all he wants of us is to acknowledge Him and give him all the praise, glory and honour…
Things are going to getter better for us all, even in Christchurch if we draw closer to the source, the creator of heaven and earth, rather than thinking that we can do it on our own… You and I are much more valuable than we might realise! God has greater things in store for us all…
