It’s been a while…

It’s been a while since I last posted on wordpress, not that I haven’t needed to, or even wanted to. But it has had more to do with prioritising the time to do it. We have been pretty busy here in Invercargill over the past few months with all sorts of stuff in the mix.

The Yarrow Street Family Store has opened and continues to do well; Annette & I travelled up to Christchurch to present the Corps vision for an Integrated Mission and Ministry to the Divisional Management Board; we’ve done some long overdue improvements to South City Family Store; I’ve almost completed all the relevant paperwork needed for the Breathing Space Southland Trust; I’ve been asked to be the chairman of Invercargill Prison Fellowship; we’ve started a faithlife group for our young people; we’ve done some improvements to the quarters and gardens, and I’ve recently completed the ‘Jesus – All about Hope’ sermon series among other things.

Christmas is just around the corner and that generally means that things are going to get progressively busier especially in the area of Community Ministries. However, this week (what with being full of the bot) has reminded me that I need to take time out each week to focus on those things that are important and to put off those things that will sap up time… Now to work out which is which!
