This afternoon I picked up a copy of the latest CD from Passion ‘Take It All’ from Manna Christian Stores in Invercargill.
For the past couple of hours I’ve enjoyed the mix of Worship songs that inspire, touch and move people into a closer sense of God’s Spirit.
David Stagg of HM wrote in his review that the album is "phenomenally produced, and it’s so overwhelming — both viscerally and emotionally — it melts the hardest hearts."
April Covington of Christian Music Review rated the album a perfect five stars, saying that "The musicians’ ability to set the mood without taking away from the worship, and the powerful message within the lyrics makes this an awesome album."
One of the songs that really stood out for me was “Come As You Are” by Crowder, the second verse & chorus says: There is hope for the hopeless / For all those who’ve strayed / Come sit at the table / Come taste the grace / There’s rest for the weary / A rest that endures / Earth has no sorrow / That Heaven can’t cure // So lay down your burdens / Lay down your shame / All who are broken / Lift up your face / Oh wanderer come home / You’re not too far / So lay down your hurt / Lay down your he hurt / Lay down your heart / Come as you are
