This morning as I looked out across the city of Wellington I was greeted by a heavy mist / fog that just hung there – unmoving! That is until the sun started to peek through, and it quickly started to lift.

As the mist rose I was reminded of God’s great faithfulness – He will break through the mist and darkness that is surrounding our lives, bringing the light of His Son!

That is the Hope that we long for in these times, that we will get through whatever we are facing (including covid-19) and see the fullness of life in the new day.

Today’s word of encouragement comes from Psalm 22 where it says; “I know that you are most holy; it’s indisputable. You are God-Enthroned, surrounded with songs, living among the shouts of praise of your princely people.

Our fathers’ faith was in you  – through generations they trusted in you and you came through.

Every time they cried out to you in their despair, you were faithful to deliver them; you didn’t disappoint them.” Psalm 22:3-5 (The Passion Translation).

So, today take a moment to cry out to God in a song of praise and worship, shout out a psalm of deliverance, say a prayer for those in our world that need it now as they face uncertain times. Life will go on, it may look different and that might not be a bad thing, as we come to grips with a new normal.

Here are some links to songs / pieces that you may take comfort from:

May we lift Him up today!
