Salvation Online is a reimagining of what a Corps looks like.

Join us every Sunday at 10am as we explore the gospel and gather as a connected, unified church community – wherever we are!

There will also be a service on Good Friday, 10 April.

Services will go live every Sunday (and Good Friday) at 10am at http://www.salvationonline.org.nz/ and The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory Facebook page.

You can also join the Wellington City Corps online on Sunday from 8am, via Perry’s blog as we explore the ‘Journey to the Cross’ that Jesus took, to reconcile us back to God.

We have created links to songs that would have featured during our morning service and presentations of Annette’s message, along with an animated kids video explaining Palm Sunday.

If you missed last week’s service links, you can view them here.

Junior Soldiers can check out the Children’s Ministry page and their Junior Soldiers page to see what activities they can be involved in this week.

We pray that you will be uplifted this weekend as you worship with us.

Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Ends at 3:00am on Sunday 5 April.

Yesterday we looked briefly at Paul’s request for prayer from the church of Thessalonica. Today we turn our attention to his prayer for Spiritual Growth for the church of Ephesus, found in Ephesians 3:14-19.

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” (New Living Translation)

Throughout Paul’s life he faced many trials and tribulations, he was imprisoned, shipwrecked, and beaten for his faith. He suffered physically, mentally and emotionally I’m sure; he faced conflict, confusion, anxiety, and doubts – Yet he remained strong in the faith.

What’s more he wanted others to know that regardless of what we face in this life, it all pails into insignificance when we come face to face with the Lord. Something that he knew first hand, having experienced it on the road to Damascus.

I wonder, in times of trials that we face, when doubts and fears rise in our minds, do we turn to the Lord and wonder at how deep the father’s love for us is. Or do we get stuck in the downward spiral of doubt and fear.

This morning I hope and pray that you will be uplifted, not only by Pauls’ closing words in his prayer; “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT)
