This morning is the second in our series looking at the journey that Jesus took to the Cross.
The betrayal of Judas is the catalyst that enabled the Jewish authorities to carry out their plot to kill the so called ‘King of the Jews’, that Annette unpacked last week.
(If you need a refresher of what we covered last week, you can access links to last week’s service here).
Sunday 5 April – Palm Sunday
The below links have been created to the songs and music that we would have used if we had met together in person at the Corps, and the message that Annette has prepared. Links also include the sermon transcript and the sermon notes via YouVersion Events.
- Prelude Music: The Kingdom Triumphant – Wellington Citadel Band & Japan Staff Band @ Kiyose Kiyake Hall (2019) — Although commonly used at Christmas time, I thought it would be a rousing welcome to Palm Sunday as we imagine Jesus being greeted in the streets of Jerusalem by the common folk. After-all they were looking forward to His triumphant entry and the downfall of the Roman oppression.
- Indescribable – The Salvation Army NZFTS National Youth Band
- What a Beautiful Name – The Salvation Army NZFTS National Youth Band
- Grace to Grace
- Children’s Video – God’s Story: Palm Sunday
Songs that we would have featured after the message include:
- Man of Sorrows
- I Know Who I Have Believed – New York Staff Band
Annette & I, along with Tania and Jim hope and pray that these links will uplift you in these days, and that you’ll find comfort in the fact that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Light and that through Him we can all experience Life, Life to the full!
