The theme for this year’s Self Denial Appeal which started on Sunday 17th of July here in New Zealand, is ‘The Ripple Effect’.
The Self Denial Appeal which was started in 1886 by General William Booth, calls Salvationists around the world to give sacrificially and to deny themselves, so that they could offer God’s grace and love to a hurting world.
Salvationists from all walks of life are encouraged to put aside One Weeks Salary On Missionary Sunday to support the Army’s mission to share the Gospel and improve the lives of millions of people around the world through the love of Jesus.
