I’ve just finished reading Tony Anthony’s latest book Passion: Returning Passion, Purpose and Priority to the church which is available at most Christian bookstores or from the Avanti Ministries website.
This book is designed for all who want to walk with Christ. It is about one thing: deepening our relationship with God, so that we will be inspired and equipped to share the Passion and the Good News of Jesus Christ with others
Passion aims to inspire, to challenge and to offer solid practical help on how we all as Christians can share that news effectively…
I was intrigued by Tony’s closing thoughts: “What will our legacy be? How do we use our time, our money? Do we measure success by the profitability of our business, our wage packet, the state-of-the-art home cinema system, the holiday, the latest computer gadget, the new car, the clothes, the company we keep… how might our world change if Christians begin to measure every resource at our fingertips in terms of souls? Some say ‘time is money’, but no, time is souls.”
The question is ‘What are you passionate about?’
As the thing is “Passion is what energises life. Passion makes the impossible possible. Passion gives you a reason to get up in the morning with the conviction that ‘Today I am going to do something with my life’. God created us to have passion in our lives and He wants us to live a passionate life. In fact God wants us to be passionate about Him”.
I encourage every Officer, Minister, Pastor, Ministry Leader, for that matter every Christian and church worker to read this for yourselves and rediscover your passion for God and the sharing of His Message!
