As the number of cases of Coronavirus continue to plague countries across the world. (As of 12/06/2020 there are over 7.5 million cases and over 400 thousand deaths worldwide). The Salvation Army International Covid-19 response continues. With many staff, officers, programmes and ministries adapting in order to support people in their time of need and to restore hope.
In this week’s update we see that for some Officer’s are returning to previous occupations to help those in need. Food distribution continues to be a challenge and chaplaincy services are increasing as people come to terms with the effects of Covid-19.

Within New Zealand we are extremely blessed to be able to kick-start the economy and go back to some form of normalcy for the most part. However, we are increasingly aware of the strain on families and individuals up and down the country – we are seeing varying demands across our services and within regions.
