The Salvation Army International Headquarters have recently released an International Covid-19 video update on how The Salvation Army has been responding to coronavirus around the world throughout July on their facebook page.

Watch as we see how 🍩 donuts, 👩‍💻 the Internet, 😷 face masks and 🌡 thermometers have all been playing their part, alongside incredible staff, volunteers and supporters.

For the past 10 weeks The Salvation Army International Headquarters have been sharing a weekly video update on the latest news of The Salvation Army’s response to coronavirus around the world on their facebook page.

The below video will be the final weekly update as they move to producing theses on a monthly basis instead. In this edition it features stories from the Philippines, India, Denmark, Argentina, Lesotho, Australia and the US. There are virtual musicals, summer camp ‘in a bag’, employment help and online church.

The International Covid-19 response continues in many countries around the world, as infection rates continue to increase worldwide of this deadly pandemic. Almost 10 million people have been reported as having Covid-19 and close to 500 thousand have died from it. (Those stat’s are from what has been reported).

In this week’s update we see how The Salvation Army is assisting those in need in Greece, Belgium, Cambodia, Tanzania and the USA to name just a few.

As the number of cases of Coronavirus continue to plague countries across the world. (As of 12/06/2020 there are over 7.5 million cases and over 400 thousand deaths worldwide). The Salvation Army International Covid-19 response continues. With many staff, officers, programmes and ministries adapting in order to support people in their time of need and to restore hope.

In this week’s update we see that for some Officer’s are returning to previous occupations to help those in need. Food distribution continues to be a challenge and chaplaincy services are increasing as people come to terms with the effects of Covid-19.

Within New Zealand we are extremely blessed to be able to kick-start the economy and go back to some form of normalcy for the most part. However, we are increasingly aware of the strain on families and individuals up and down the country – we are seeing varying demands across our services and within regions. So, your assistance to stock up much needed supplies would be greatly appreciated in many locations nationwide.
